Sweet Adelines is an international organization of women singers designed to promote and educate women in the American art form of barbershop singing. The Kern Valley Chapter meets every Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella.

Under the capable direction of two talented sisters, Francine Stirling and Cheryl Borthick, the Kern Valley Chorus has placed 2nd and 3rd in the small chorus division over the last 3 years. It became the first chorus to receive the Audience Choice Award for "Most Entertaining" in Region 11 for two years in a row, having received this prestigious new award in 2009 and 2010!

Each year the chorus performs for many valley organizations and participates in many events. We are always on hand President's Day weekend at Whiskey Flat Days in beautiful Kernville selling our hot pastrami sandwiches. Look for us at Christmastime, singing traditional carols and contemporary favorites for your club or organization, as well as at the hospital and nursing homes around the Kern River Valley. In February we offer "Singing Valentine Cards."  We deliver your personalized singing Valentine (and candy or flowers) right to the doorstep of your loved one. What a fun way to wish your sweetheart a Happy Valentine's Day!
