Sweet Adelines is an international organization of women singers designed to promote and educate women in the American art form of barbershop singing. The Kern Valley Chapter meets every Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella.

Under the capable direction of two talented sisters, Francine Stirling and Cheryl Borthick, the Kern Valley Chorus has placed 2nd in the small chorus division over the last 2 years. This last year, they became the first ever to receive the Audience Choice Award for the most entertaining chorus in Region 11.

Each year the chorus performs for many valley organizations and participates in many events. We are always on hand at Whiskey Flat Days selling our hot pastrami sandwiches. Look for us at Christmas singing your favorite carols for your club and organization, as well as the hospital and nursing homes. This year a newly added fund raiser will be "Singing Christmas Phone Cards." Watch for the advertising for this fun way to sing a song to your family and friends across the country.

So, ladies, if you love to sing and perform, we’re the organization for you. We’re always looking for "Real Women, Real Harmony, and Real Fun!"
